Kwik’pak Fisheries is proud that our fishery received the highest score for Sustainability from the certifying body working with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). The MSC operates a rigorous and widely recognized certification program for sustainability and environmental responsibility in wild-capture fisheries.  Achieving certification to the internationally accepted MSC standards validates and demonstrates to seafood markets around the world that a fishery is sustainable. This achievement also clearly demonstrates the will and cooperation of the stakeholders who live along the Yukon River, the longest salmon producing river in the world.

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an environmental non-government organization that offers voluntary programs to certify specific fisheries As operating in an environmentally responsible way.  The MSC Eco-Label also provides assurance to buyers that the certified fishery does not contribute to the global environmental problem of overfishing.
